Very Sad story and circumstance for this poor injured man, I was under the impression that any Canadian that is out of their province for over 180 days looses allot of Coverage including thier provincial medical etc Like the Article Writes ... "Because he has been out of B.C. for more than six months last year, he is not covered by B.C.’s Medical Services Plan, which stipulates that out-of-country residents are not eligible for coverage for their first three months back in Canada." So If any Canadians were not aware of this, they may want to check with their Provincial Health care and be sure of the facts and risks. Plus what are the consequences when they file their income tax etc... Stay safe Amigos Dave
