Dogs to Mexico

I drove to La Manz with Jade for five years. Getting her into the US required nothing; to Mexico, she required no shots, just a letter from the vet, written within 14 days of crossing, which stated that she was in good health. That's all! No one ever asked for her letter, but I chose to get a new one each year. Cheaper than, if I were to be turned back at the border, returning to the US, finding a vet, having the letter written, and possibly having to spend another night in the US. For protection against fleas, ticks, and heartworm, I treated Jade with Revolution. The first year, I bought it in Canada; thereafter, having discovered that it cost approximately 1/3 in Mexico, I bought it in Melaque--exactly the same product. |
