Another wet weekend?

Some interesting weather happening around Mexico right now, possibly affecting us in the next few days:

Tropical Depression 13E has formed near the Pacific coast well to our south, heading for landfall as a tropical storm somewhere in Guerrero or Michoacan late tomorrow (Sat.)

On the GOES IR loop you can see the huge area of convection (thunderstorms) streaming off of TD13, luckily staying to our south for now:

Meanwhile over in the Bay of Campeche (the southern end of the Gulf of Mexico), Tropical Storm Ingrid has formed and is threatening eastern Mexico with more torrential rains and deadly mudslides on top of what they have been getting the last few weeks:

And according to Dr. Jeff Masters' Weather Underground blog, Ingrid and TD13 might combine forces for even more rainfall across southern and eastern Mexico:

The main effects will be well away from us, but we could get something from TD13 as it goes inland and breaks up. Some of the computer models has it heading more toward us later this weekend:

Also there will be higher waves along a lot of the Mexican Pacific coast, maybe including here.

Hopefully the Independance Day activities on Monday aren't affected...
