Although having a rough start during October's exhibition games, the Lobos have hit their stride, once again winning against their worthy opponents, the Osos.

Again Monday night's game was a close thriller. The Lobos had first bat this week, but try as they might could not bring in a run in the first 2 innings. The Osos stood tall and firm in the field robbing the bats of the Lobos each time, while scoring 2 runs in the first inning themselves. Was this an omen for the game? Would the Lobos' pack fall apart. No, they are too tight a team for that.

Top of the 3rd, Lobos' bats exploded once again, bringing in 5 runs. While 3 of those runs were attributed to Genero with a home run blast, the player of the week has to given to young Yolanda, she batted in the other 2 runs.
While the Osos were busy trying to throw out our little "road runner" at first, and then again at second, both unsuccessfully, the other 2 base runners quickly and unnoticed ran to home plate.
A note here fans, Yolanda is 7 years old, and also the winner of last season's gold medal for fastest base runner in the Jr. Division.

The Lobos then held the Osos scoreless for the next 4 innings, while still racking up runs for their team.

Well by the 6th inning, Aziel (from Chop Chop's) had eaten enough crow, and began a batting rally which resulted in the Osos scoring 5 runs. Congratulations go here to Aziel and also to Bryon, because even though they really, really didn't like being behind in runs, they kept encouraging the rest of their team and never
made a hurtful remark to any of their teammates if an error happened or a strike out!!

Final Score Lobos 13--Osos 10

Have to mention one hilarious highlite of the game: as we all watched Bryon backing up to catch a fly ball, none of us warned him that he was about to fall over a dog. Now before anyone calls the Humane Society, neither Bryon, nor the dog were hurt--well maybe Bryon's pride a little. But he himself was laughing as hard as the rest of us.

So the question is now--can the Lobos do it again next Monday and record a perfect month?? We will all have to await the answer next Monday, same bat time, same bat channel!
