Lynne is right. We were both in the fourth year of our FM2s. IF we had decided to go for Residente Permanente before the 30-days-to-renewal date, we would have had to prove income. Since we waited until the normal renewal time for our FM2s to apply, we did not have to show any financial data at all. It has been that way from the initial interpretation of the new 2011 INM laws.
