Valley Fever is otherwise known as coccidioidomycosis, a fungus infection which some people get over with little or no continuing problems and others, like myself, almost die from due to faulty diagnosis and improper treatment. I contacted mine the Spring of 2007 (I think that's the year.) when the streets were first being dug up for sewers. Fungus spores must have been floating all over the place. TWO YEARS went by of being treated for asthma which I didn't have before getting a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Check out the symptoms of "cocci" on the web and you'll see how they mimic other maladies such as influenza. You need a special culture done under sterile conditions to determine whether or not its "cocci"
