This is a report of what is going on with the horses. It's obviously a struggle for survival.

Rocio started the treatment with hydrating them intravenously with a vitamin mineral additive added to it...then gave them various injections of supplements, iron, and different immune boosters, as well as antibiotics. We left Enrique with tons of medicine that was to be refrigerated and administered by him with the instructions (this is where I have my doubts) as well as I bought a bale of alfalfa and a big bag of good quality grain mixture. Because they have had only grass, the alfalfa and grain need to be introduced very slowly in small quantities or it will shock their system. If they survive over the next two weeks, we can then start a program of parasite removal...very slowly. The white one also has a tumour reducing drug that gets administered intravenously, 4 days on then 4 days off, then 4 days on."

I wil consult with Rocio regarding the ticks. Cisco's Amigos has Fibronil which is the active ingredient in Frontline that is used on large animlas(horses, pigs, etc) . Perhaps she has already put it on the horses.
