It seems like every time I go in the water I get stung, usually it's the sea lice, which have already been mentioned here. They are prevalent in the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Coast, it's all on the Internet if you go look. The only thing I have found that helps at all is to take an anti-histamine, every day for 5 or 6 days. The blisters take forever to go down, itch and sting like crazy, and none of the other suggested remedies work for me, lime juice, vinegar etc. I might look into the zinc oxide with the next stings.
