Haven't gotten any this year yet, but the best treatment for me is to put hot water on the itches. That quiets the itching down for a few hours. If it starts itching again in the middle of the night, I put a wet washcloth in the microwave and press it on the spots. It stops the itching immediately for a few more hours. Never fails to stop the miserable itching.
