Saturday's Casino event was well attended by our local townspeople, full to capacity. Everyone was fed & we received many compliments on the Birrea. MANY THANKS FOR THE BIRREA "YOU" HELP TO PROVIDE BY PURCHASING A TEE SHIRT. Thank you Juan for organizing the luncheon. However, we could still use your HELP, the luncheon "bill" has yet to come in & be paid .. This includes paying for The Banda, & the sound system, etc. We know you probably have more tees than you need, I know I do .. But what about your family, nieces, nephews, grandkids .. They make great presents & You can tell them the story behind the tees. Rodeo Tees available for sale at: (1). Palapa Joe's (2). The Bookstore Design: This year's "Rooster&Chicken" design originated from a photo of Bill Rhodes' paper mâché birds. Bill, local & BC Saltspring Island artist known for his zany & colourful paper mâché sculptures which grace several homes in LM. And he doesn't stop at birds.. There are fish, yoga stance people, pigs, cows, scorpions, ants .. You name it Bill can replicate it in paper mâché. His paper mâché pescado, pelicanos & other creatures are around town .. Have you spotted them? Last Year? This may very well be the last year "Gringo Day" participates in the LM Fiestas Taurinas. Looking for someone to step in and take it on. Any takers?
