If you really want something to think about, google 'what is art?' I've discussed this with so many people for so many years, and am now very happy with the freedom of saying 'Everything is art to someone' and leaving it at that. It's difficult not to judge, jeer, criticize, compare, but I try to keep all that to myself...otherwise, I end up contradicting myself every time. I started this thread with a suggestion to have the Art Walk be for 2 days - Saturday and Sunday. I haven't seen much response to this idea, so I plan to just do some extra advertising, and say my venue will be open on both days, calling the Saturday a day to 'preview' my display.I think that might take the pressure off people who just could not cover the whole town in one day. Of course that means I have to be ready a day early, but that is my own responsibility - there's always a chance that I'll change, and be organized for once!
