Good for you Catalina Foundation! This is a wonderful way to thank John and Katharine Collins for the work they have done for decades, in Mexico, Wyoming, Africa, Seattle. Love to all the family there in La Manz. Thanks John, you are missed but still always around somehow, you inspire us. xo

Thanks Jackie for putting together this event. Since the fate of the world is all about educating the next generation, teacher training needs to be right up there as a priority in every community. So good that you are volunteering your organizational skills to support it happening here.

This sounds wonderful! Lora Loca's at sunset is a great place to be, and with such an interesting line-up of entertainment...we'll think we're in Mexico or something! Do you ever have to pinch yourself to remind yourself it's real...?

Just an update on the upcoming inauguration of the John Collins Teacher Training Fund at Lora Loka's this Saturday night. 14 teachers from all the local schools have signed up for this event and tickets (150 pesos) are still on sale at Lora Loka's tomorrow (today she is closed.) So, if you have not purchased a ticket yet, please do so in the next few days.

Just a reminder that this worthy event is on tonight at 6:30 pm at Lora Loka's. A bonus is that the Fire Eating show is on nearby- you can see it from there! For those who didn't know, John Collins was Davison Collins' father ("Kayak Dave").

Thank you all for coming to the official Inauguration of the John Collins teacher training fund. The speeches were touching by the Collins family and John's English students. The food by Lora was delicious and the live music by Francisco Panilla from Guadalajara has a hit. The event raised 8,300 pesos which will go into the teacher training fund for upcoming workshops for the La Manzanilla public school teachers. Thanks to all who attended for making this event a success!
