I think there is a little yellow boat in the bay without anyone on it.

You are correct, but it is resolved now. Lew and I had just returned from a brief sail around the bay on his Hobie cat, when we saw the "ghost boat". It was sailing perfectly straight along the shore with nobody aboard! A Mexican man (I can't remember his name) swam out to capture it, with some help from his friends on a fishing lancha. He brought it in for a landing just as the missing sailor arrived to reclaim it. All is OK now. You don't see that every day!
It is nice to know there are people looking out for their fellow La Manzanillenses, and jumping in (literally) to help! And thanks for sounding the alarm, Kim!

That Mexican who got on the boat really knew what he was doing. Been there done that before. Happy ending.
