Crab (cangrejo) migration

I saw this and remembered back when there were thousands migrating of crabs
across the road by the new Hotel, it was an anual event. Hundreds would get
run over even though people would drive around and others would move them off
the road by hand. Does this migration still happen?

During all the rain this past December, I notices hundreds and hundreds of crabs on the edge of the beach road to Boca, down near where it joins the paved road. A few were on the road, but mostly on the sides.

Went through the Croc Walk over the lagoon the other day, and there are many many crabs at the bases of all the trees.
