It is that time of year again. This will be the seventh annual LaManzanilla Regatta.
The race will be on Friday, Feb 27. The boats will line up and begin the race in front of Don Raul's restaurant. They have organized about 8 boats of various sizes to race this year, ranging from 22' to Lazers. Anyone who has sails is invited to join the fun.
The beginning of the race is always fun to see as they will be in a group leaving the starting line, and with all the sails in the air its a nice photo op.

Captians and crews are asked to meet at Don Raul's at 11:30AM, and the race will begin at 1:00.

Come on down to the beach, have a refreshment, and cheer on your favorite sailors!

Don Raul's is on the beach, one restaurant south of Lara Loca's. The 11:30 time is for the guys to get together to talk about the course, etc. Then they go to the boats and line them up for a 1:00 starting time.
It is all organized and scientific (NOT)!
It is mostly a fun day on the water, and a good excuse to gather for sailing.
There is actually a trophy, although I hear it is looking a little battered.....may be time for a new one!

I have heard that Richard may have abused his abs today, this may prove to be a vulnerability. Good racing tomorrow.
