Fabulous Music at Martin's Next Saturday & Sunday

Posted by Charles T on March 6, 2015, 5:57 pm

Martin of Martin's Restaurant has invited the Aphrodisaicos Band to play next Saturday and Sunday, March 14 & 15, for listening and dancing. Betsy and I heard and danced with them last year and think they are awesome. However, Martin pays them quite a bit (they come all the way from Quadalajara) and so he would like folks who are interested to RSVP as soon as possible so he can firm up the dates. It will be a 100 peso cover charge, all going to the band, then whatever you drink and/or eat (fine to come for the music, drinking and dancing only). If you RSVP to me I'll pass it on to Martin and he'll have a sense of whether or not there will be enough of a turnout to cover the cost. Thanks! It really will be worth it!

for the folks who like both art-archetypes and dancing the lecture at Casa Luz will be over 9ish Sat and or you can go full out sunday to dance. Try not to miss lecture if you have an interest in creativity. Norris the presenter has multi native Mexican cultural background.

Thanks everyone for your responses here and via email. At least 17 people have said yes, and Martin says it's on! It would be helpful, although not necessary, if you could stop by Martin's, give him your names and let him know which evening(s) you're planning to come.

Martin, Betsy and I really appreciate your interest!

I'd recommend 7:15-7:30 for dinner; the music will start around eight. You might double check with Martin.

There has been a great response to this invitation. Martin is very grateful. He said Saturday night is pretty full. I gave him the names of people who posed or emailed me, but many did not specify which day. So I would suggest that you either plan to come on Sunday (fewer reservations) and/or stop in and tell Martin you're coming and which day--and pay the 100 peso cover charge.

See you there!!
