Your posting prompted me to trot over to my trusty/dusty old bookshelves behind me and drag out some classics that I've read once or twice many years ago and put them in the "stuff for Mexico" pile. Even books deserve to retire and what better place to do so than in a hammock in L.M. When we come this year in mid February, I'll be bringing these 8 books for you - I trust they meet the "good books" standard:
Sexus, Nexus & Plexus - Henry Miller trilogy
The Last of the Crazy People - Timothy Findlay
What's Bred in the Bone - Robertson Davies
The Violent Land - Jorge Amado
Under The Volcano - Malcolm Lowry
Constance - Lawrence Durrell
Hope you get lots more books in the meantime.
