We had a similar experience just 5 years ago, a cat 4 hurricane called "jova". I believe there was around 12 in of rain in 1 day or so and wind over 100 mph, but the direct hit was around el tecuan just north of la manzanilla.
My house is on the mountain and I had a couple of panels broken by falling limbs,a couple of tiles moved around on the tile roof, 2 trees lost and a land slide on the north of the property.
I actually drove with friends to the city of Colima and stayed there 4 days until they reopened the bridge connecting the states of Jalisco and Colima at Cihautlan, the town you go through after leaving the manzanillo airport.
Good luck!!
Make sure you have matches, candles, flashlights food and drink.
You may want to put all patio objects in your house or storage so they do not fly around when the wind hits.
If you can collect some of the rain water with secured garbage cans etc. that may help because once the electricity goes out you will have no way of pumping or moving water around in your house, depending on what kind of water system you have.
