drowning

I was here in my office when Luis came to get the Kayak, he went out to help a girl who was in distress and screaming about 150 yards off shore. While he was heading out his girlfriend told me that there were two out there but now only one. Luis got to the girl in the water, whom I assume told him to find the guy who was with her. After a minute or so Luis returned to the girl, she held onto the back of the Kayak while he started to head for shore. Another guy came and got the other Kayak and went out to search for the missing guy, he was joined at first by one or two others then more people, some with swim mask and fins. After about 30 minutes they finally found the guy and got him to shore in front of Yolanda's. Luis said that they had gotten caught in a current which took them off shore and that the guy was from Barra. The ocean was calm, no waves to speak of. Sad day. | ------------------------Re: drowning
