Landfall

The Weather Channel is reporting that Patricia made landfall near Emilio Zapata north of La Manzanilla. This sounds like a worst case scenario for storm surge for the coast to the south. All we can do is wait for news in the next five to ten hours. | ------------------------Re: Landfall

MSNBC just reported winds had (thankfully) reduced from 190 to 165 when it hit land near Perula/E. Zapata. Daniel, look forward to your continued reporting of conditions "on the ground", though I'm anticipating that the customary power outage will hit. Just FaceTimed with friends in Sayulita - winds still calm there for now. Hope your cat shows up soon... | ------------------------Re: Landfall

Am I the only one reporting? I am connected via the cell tower. Reminds me of the dial up days with big thumbs added. Lots of wind but not that much rain. It going to be a long night I want to go back to what is left of my little abode, the real safe zone. | ------------------------Re: Landfall

Thinking of you and our wonderful village from Surrey, England, where our son was just married. Hard to believe something so good and so bad are happening at exactly the same time. Stay safe, Daniel, and let us know when you can if your abode and our beach houses survived. Thank you so much for your incredible reporting. | ------------------------Re: Landfall

Ditto what Ron said and I'm not joking! So glad you and kitty survived the strongest hurricane ever recorded!! I don't even want to ask about my house, whatever the damage I'm sure it's less than we were expecting earlier on. Most importantly we are hearing no injuries!?! Praise God! The rest can be rebuilt! | ------------------------
