Roberto and Yvette, So sorry about the damage to your lovely place. I'll bet it was very scarey for whoever was there. The ocean must have been unbelievable. Hope the two of you and the staff are OK and that you will be able to open soon. | ------------------------Re: Chantli Mare

My regards to Robert and all, looks like some work to do. I talked to Detroit Dave who lives in Boca, his house did not flood this time like it did during Jova (Patricia 3 times the wind and one fifth the rain as Jova) but every tree is down even the old ones. I also talked to Paul wno lives on the beach, he rode out the storm at his house! He said he can now see the mountains from his house, that the hurricane took the top 20 feet off the trees of the Lagoon. He said the sand on the beach is way down that the beach road has about a foot of sand on it. It will be interesting to see how the beach recovers from this i.e. do we have enough sand out in the bay to replace what was either moved inland or hauled off in trucks. What was hauled off in trucks is probably not very significant in proportion. | ------------------------Re: Chantli Mare

So sorry to see the damage to your sweet place. We hope youe delicious food will be available for enjoyment next year. We have a home in Boca and have talked with friends living next door. Our tile roof was damaged when the palms fell. We were told that there are no trees left in the little neighborhood where we live. Happily we see there are palms still on the beach! It's hard being home in Oregon and not there to help with the recovery. We know that our bit of paradise will look different when we return. However, we continue to be grateful that people are safe, albiet inconvenienced. Here's to better tomorrows. Jim and Rita Kornbau | ------------------------
