Although I applaud the ex-pat community for their sincere efforts to rebuild our pueblo, the true fact is that the majority of the effort commenced the day (Saturday) after the storm and was institued by the local community. For instance, on Saturday morning, Calle Lorenzo Cardenas was impassable. By noon, cars were maneuvering through trees and downed power lines. On Sunday, the majority of limbs and such were in piles. And the work continued every day thereafter.
Again, all contributions to La Manzanilla deserve our gratitude, just don't overlook all of the hard work of the local community on their own.
