Today marks the second week since Hurricane Patricia. We apologize for the less than instantaneous reporting and posting on the efforts of Viva La Manzanilla!, and all others pitching in to help. It’s a different world without internet or phone! Part of this effort is just connecting people with resources that are coming in.
Please know that everyone in this wonderful village is working their butts off to clean, repair, and feed people, pets and other critters, all while trying to get routines and services back to “normal”!
Viva La Manzanilla update -
Conrado and a team of palaperos completed a new roof yesterday for a mother of 3 girls. This was a better choice for her house, and will last 5 years! To date We have put more than 6 roofs on houses that were destroyed. We will have another update after the weekend’s work.
Thanks to the generosity of the owner of El Pollo, Señor Clemente Robles Rodriguez, and Paul Zuniga, the Viva La Manzanilla team is getting a special discounted price on roofing material. Gracias!!
