I forgot to say a few things: Time: We start playing at 1:00 pm. Be there a few minutes before 1:00, when we deal cards. The 4 top cards play at the "high" table, the 4 lowest cards play at the "low" table, the 4 mid-cards play at the middle table. We play 4 rounds, then the winners stay, the losers move down. If there are 7 players (or 11) the 3 payers at the table ask for "a bidder from the 4 playing at the other table". If there are 6 (or 10) players, the 2 players at the table have "a sit out" and wait for the game ahead of them to be finished. Then then play with the losers.
Regular Chicago scoring. 500 for a "fast" game, 300 for a "slow" game.
Vulnerabilty: the first dealer is not vulnerable, the 2nd and 3rd dealers are vulnerable and the 4th dealer, every is vulnerable.
If there is a single player left (after the cards are dealt), he/she can either wait for the games to be finished and take the place of a player, or go home.
You don't need to bring a partner. Beginners are welcome, even learners. Lots of people are patient and willing to teach.
Last point: Las Cabanas is a few doors down from the hotel Tonala. You can't miss it. See you Tuesday, and Friday, andTuesday, and Friday, and Tuesday and .....
