Ricardo is a chef who is currently working with French-Canadian partner Denisio to create unique prepared foods for their business 'Muy Rico Alimentos'.
You can find them at their table in the La Manzanilla tianguis- located in the centre of the jardin near the bandstand
They are also offering a service of cooking special dinners in people's homes.
Ricardo was living and working in Colima a couple of years ago when he was asked to prepare some special meals for clients in Boca de Iguanas.
One day he ran out of ingredients, and some people told him to go shop in La Manzanilla. He fell in love with the town, and bought property in Los Ingenios and moved there with his wife. He has a new baby boy now, named Temoatzin.
We fist met Ricardo at a Temazcal in Los Ingenios. He made an amazingly creative meal made only from ingredients that would have been used in Pre-Hispanic times. He said he has been cooking since he was eight years old, and spent years studying cuisine in Guadalajara.
