Hola. This is Paul Zúñiga from JP Design & Construction in La Manzanilla. As you know there is a lot of people in need in town. Some friends living in the US (Steven Rutherford Jr. and more friends living there) and some clients asked me to collect money to help people. I asked for a special price on the materials store and the owner gave the the best price possible (the price he pays to his provider) for all materials we buy to help people. If somebody wants to contribute, you can use my account or somebody else's you trust in town and have that person contact me to take him to the materials store to get the same prices. There is many people interested in helping. You can also use the person's full name and send it through Western Union. It can be withdrawn in Melaque. Usually a CLABE number is the only one necessary to transfer money, but sometimes all this information is needed: My full bank information is this one: Bank. Banamex Bank address # 5, Gómez Farías St. San Patricio, Jalisco, México. ZIP 48980 Bank phone number (315)3555277 Beneficiary Paul Zúñiga Branch 736 Account 68530 CLABE number 002385073600685300 SWIFT BNMXMXMM Beneficiary adress: #101 Rufino Tamayo La Manzanilla, Jalisco, México. ZIP 48898 Benefiacary phone (315)3515583 I'm using my car and smal trailer to move materials, and bought a chainsaw to help cutting fallen trees. My facebook page is this one: https://www.facebook.com/paulzuniga1 if you want to add me and/or see pictures of the damages and the people that we are helping with materials or work. | ------------------------Re: Funds to help local people.

I personally like the idea of donating directly to the Mexican community who will be doing the work. Thanks Paul I will donate when I find my bank. | ------------------------Re: Funds to help local people.

Bien hecho, señor Zuniga! I, too, will also be donating to the cause via the system Lisa Fern is currently setting up with yourself and others as outlined in her post “Important Info on DONATIONS directly from La Manzanilla” (please read everyone). As Wendy has shared, this direct donation approach is probably preferable for most, myself included. I look forward to more details as it unfolds. Again, thanks Paul (and please extend my best wishes to Ada & Josefina).

Paul, Perhaps you'd consider taking over to distribute the monies collected through the crowd-funding page I set up? It's at https://www.generosity.com/fundraisers/la-manzanilla-hurricane-patricia-disaster-relief--3/x/8738390 The charge is 3% + 30 cents per donation. Victor is trying to locate a local to handle this. You can reach him at victor_m_amezcua@hotmail.com, phone 555 554 9607 in DF. | ------------------------Re: Funds to help local people.

I am concerned about the bank info being posted - I just had someone charge two items to my credit card - how they got the info I do not know!!Big hassle and I had to cancel the card. I sure would not want anything to happen to someone who has made such a kind and generous gesture. Could this info be removed and sent privately? ps I love LM and am coming Wed - will try to bring an extra suitcase as suggested.
