Nov. rental available
Posted by Linda Sonna on October 28, 2015, 5:17 pm
I'm canceling my trip, so the bungalow I rented is available, and the landlord is hoping to find a replacement tenant. The cost is $400 USD for the month. The landlord says the bungalow was not damaged, and that all utilities & the Internet are working. I haven't seen the bungalow, which I rented via a phone conversation with the landlord after it was recommended by a friend who lives in La Manz. It's 2 blocks from the jardín (plaza principal). The landlord said that it is available in Nov. (because I am canceling), and in March, and April. It is booked in Dec., Jan., and Feb. | ------------------------Re: Nov. rental available

I would say if the place you rented is not damaged and has power and water then you should be fine. I am assuming you have not been here before. La Manzanilla is pretty laid back, there are no jet skis, para sailing, quad rentals etc. the normal thing to do here is chill out, enjoy the culture, have some great food and have a real Mexico experience. If that is what you are looking for then come on down, you won't regret it. | ------------------------Re: Nov. rental available

I go to La Manz every year. I'm getting such conflicting reports, I can't tell what shape the town is in. So I take your post to mean that the restaurants are open? The grocery store shelves are full? The beaches and streets are cleared of debris? | ------------------------Re: Nov. rental available

Oh, sorry I assumed wrong. Yes, streets are mostly cleared and improving daily. I ended up driving around quite a bit today with no problems. Plenty of restaurants are and will be open. I don't think Figaro's or Martins will be but one never knows. Stores are full, pretty much back to normal and getting more so everyday. I have no idea who came up with the idea that Mexican's are lazy, they are kicking ass here clean up wise! The only thing I thought they could use is about 10 of those mulcher machines that shred branches. | ------------------------Re: Nov. rental available

Thanks, Daniel. Glad to hear that things are improving quickly! I already made other plans for Nov. Hopefully the house I rented for Dec. will be habitable by then. | ------------------------
