Thank you for this offer Heidi! From what I know, most of the roads are closed in the area. The river has flooded, parts of Melaque and Cihuatlan are being evacuated. Several people have been asking about bringing stuff. At this point itīs hard to say what will be needed, and when you will be able to reach La Manzanilla. I have been asking around and maybe tarps and rope could be useful. We think the best thing to do is to send money now via the PayPAl link. If anyone is arriving soon, when you get here perhaps we can give you a list of things to buy in Manzanillo. Thanks for all the offers of help!

Lisa, I think you misread the message. I am sure you are reading many these days. Heidi is flying into PV (not ZLO) and would pick up items at WalMart before driving down the 200 to LM. | ------------------------Re: ROADS CLOSED. WHAT STUFF IS NEEDED?

It might be a good idea to check road conditions before coming this way from either direction. Daniel says the roads are usually cleared pretty quickly. I hope that's the case this time. | ------------------------Re: ROADS CLOSED. WHAT STUFF IS NEEDED?

We wondered what was needed too, and Josefina (esposa de Paul Z.) went to a shelter and asked. The list is for supplies for people in need now. It doesnīt include anything related to rebuilding, but you probably couldnīt fit much of that in a car anyway. The list from Josefina is: aceite vegetal, azucar, atún, jabón para ropa, paņales, leche. We are bringing all of these except leche, plus a sack of arroz and of frijoles pintos, big cans of sardines, instant soups in a cup and a big bag of dehydrated soya, donated by the lady who bought us the other grains at the abastos in Guadalajara. Hope this helps. We are coming down from Lake Chapala on Tuesday as well. | ------------------------Re: Wallmart in P.V.

Thanks you so much Jon. I requested a luggage rack so hopefully with skilled packing I will be able to bring a trunk full. Where is the shelter located? | ------------------------Re: Wallmart in P.V.

Good question. I donīt know yet, but Iīm working on it. We probably wonīt have Internet connectivity when we arrive, so Iīll try to find out and pass on to you before we leave Chapala. | ------------------------
