Our little town is on the mend...progress is taking place and thank the Gods...all are safe! So...without our computer time...let's read more! The bookstore will be open tomorrow from 10-12, that's Monday...and should be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday this week. I hear Josie has returned with a load of books!!!! Yeah Josie! As I write I wonder who here locally can even get this message...pretty weird! Hope to see you soon...and thanks to those who are bringing us new "reads"! | ------------------------Re: Bookstore opens....

Stephanie,, you are amazing. Can't imagine what you had to do to clean up the bookstore and your home. | ------------------------Re: Bookstore opens....

Glad to hear the bookstore open again, Stephanie. Another little piece of normalcy returns. I'm right now looking at the little pile of books I've set aside to bring with us in Feb. Okay, that's a blatant lie! Of course, the books are behind me and I'm looking at the screen while I type, but you catch my drift... Thanks for all the messages! Still little internet in town and not many phones except for cellular! And I have only seen one Telmex truck in the last three days! Am sure the big rain following the hurricane did not help matters! The bookstore had NO damage at all! No water...nada! Maybe 8 leaves inside the door! The streets are alive and vibrant with sweepers and trucks full of debris from the roads...still! Besides bringing books....could some of you bring down some children's coloring books and small boxes of crayons. This village is coming along nicely, slowly, but others North of us lost everything...Programa, Arroyo Seco etc...thinking these kids need to get lost a bit in some fun! So if you can...please help this way too! Thanks so very much...and yes Helga, I did get in touch with our wonderful Kiran! Thanks! Adios for now...safe travels, Stephanie
