After the storm

Ann and I came down Wednesday and have time to walk around and survey the damage. I am not the first to say, things are not near as bad as one would have thought they would be. I DON'T want to make light of those who have lost windows, palapas, roof, beds and trees, but for those of us who fully thought we would have waves breaking on the 2nd floor of the house and a likelyhood of an undermined foundation, I'll take a few broken sliders. And, let's not forget, no one was seriously injured or died. For those of you who add a measure of Jewish/Christian faith to your life, there is a passage in the Bible where Moses was on the mountain with God and He told Moses He would "hide him in the cleft of rock" when He passed by so that Moses would not be consumed. I feel something similar for LM. We are tucked in behind the mountians and are sheltered from the brunt of the storm. | ------------------------Re: After the storm

THANKS FOR YOUR PERSPECTIVES, TIM. WE ARE ALL WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT UPON ARRIVAL IN LA MANZ. THANKFULLY, IT DOES SOUND AS IF WE WERE SAVED FROM THE WORST SCENARIO. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE SUCH A BIBLICAL SCHOLAR! SEE YOU SOON. | ------------------------Re: After the storm

Exactly how we felt Tim, sheltered and protected by a presence and force much greater than the storm. Thank you for this reminder and shot of gratitude! Judy (and Felipe) | ------------------------Re: After the storm

Glad to hear that damage to your place was not too severe, Tim & Ann. Of course, we have a vested interest as we will be staying there in January! I am so impressed with the resilience and dedication of the locals (Mexicans and NOBs)and even for the various levels of government who came to the fore. I do hope all the crocs are rounded up, hate to meet one on the tennis court..... Jim & Sandy | ------------------------
