I would like to know how many homes still do not have phone service. This is getting ridiculous, no it is ridiculous. How many guys does it take not to fix stuff?? | ------------------------Re: Telmex

We have tried to reach a few people down there by internet or phone and nothing yet. They are on Playa Blanca and near Palapa Joes on the side street. Was wondering if it was their phones or the lines! | ------------------------Re: Telmex

Oh, Skittles, with no address, You ask for a simple redress, From Telmex, about your phone, Like a dog without a bone. Last night, round about six, Two phone guys my line did fix, Asked them how long was their day, Twelve hours, and counting, they did say. Tonight, I saw, in the faint moonlight, Five Telmex trucks, all bunched up tight, Round seven, up the back street, they went, From their families, they likely were sent. Now Carlos Slim is not my perfect hero, In fact he scores quite near a zero, But these telephone guys, from me, they get, My vote for one of the best of heros yet. | ------------------------Re: Telmex

Well, Larry F., you ain't a Shakespeare, you ain't a Keats or a Ferlinghetti, or a Leonard Cohen, but you have my vote for the La Manz poet of the times. I'm not there yet, still four hours away, but, when I do arrive, I'm sure I will be met with challenges--hmmm, that's kind of the way it is when I'm out of my native country, out of my self-organized norm. I'm not sure whether Mexico was created to teach me patience or whether I've come to Mexico to have her teach it to me. What I do know is that beating my head against a concrete and brick wall is . . . well, just that, and the best I can expect is a wicked headache. It ain't fair--well, that's probably true. It shouldn't be this way--well . . . Why don't they . . . Who decided that . . . It is just as it is, and there's not much that you or I can do about it. Oh, that we could all be perfectly Zen about the inconveniences, the annoyances, the bloodyhellwhat'swrongwiththis's. Better luck in your next lifetime . . . and me too! In the meantime, Larry F, thank you for your light-hearted splash of realism. I enjoyed. For the rest of us fledgling poets, well, the message board is our pen and paper. | ------------------------Re: Telmex

Been here since 98. Have patience more than most visitors as you all seem to be. The Telmex repairs- no repair is pathetic. How would you feel if you could not call or receive calls from family-elderly who do not use computers. Not that it is anyones business, I simply wanted to know how many homes are without service. Have tried again and again to contact Telmex to no avail. Well to all the above, you may think your postings are cute, but in this situation is not, just trying to be able to have my family contact me when necessary. No such thing as zen in this case, or poems..Actually no such thing as zen. still haven't received an answer as to how many are still out of service. Please keep your stupid -not remarks to yourself | ------------------------Re: Telmex

You might consider doing what the rest of us in your situation have done: Go to the Telcel store in Melaque and buy a cell phone. | ------------------------Re: Telmex

And just how are we supposed to know how many homes are still without service? Nominate someone to go door-to-door and count them? I never lost my Telmex service, gracias a dios, but I also have a cellphone just in case... | ------------------------Re: Telmex

Classic La Manz..somethings never change and ya gotta love it whatever it is..if you haven't figured out that this is much more than a message board..for me morning coffee entertainment..for others a platform of expressing poetry, pictures and philosophy then you are at the wrong site. This is a forum of information and ideas….and yes we all unload here..ranting and raving once in a while…point is if you think not having a phone is an unsolvable crisis or that the price from ZLO is a economic disaster..well there are places that may be more suitable for your needs and currently locations on the globe that are living hell so really people don't bring your emotional baggage with you when you come here and if you are not happy with the poetry…don't read it. When you want to see real suffering walk down your street and try to understand that are problems far greater then yours right next door… | ------------------------Re: Telmex

The Manager at the Tonala advised that Telemex had to replace a lot of the lines now that the new poles are installed. Also the TV cable as well. We were told we would have cable by the end of next week and the phone lines are ahead of that. | ------------------------
