Hi. Drove down the 1st of November. The bad: From just south of Guymas to Ciudad Obergon Is 90% construction zone, rough, one lane each way. About every 5 to 10 miles you go back to a divided highway, but only long enough to use as passing area then back to the trenches. The rest of the way was good. The road from Puerto Vallarta to La Manzanilla was much better than last year, but you do have three or four bridges under construction where you have to leave the road for short distances. If you don't need to go through PV, the inland route would probably be a lot better. | ------------------------Re: nogales to la manzanilla

We just crossed a week ago at Lukeville, simple, no lines, no problems. We chose to take the 200 away from Pv and through Guad. Spectacular drive all the way. The road from PV is now 4 hours or more and not worth the traffic jam. 2.5 days from LM in 2.5 days. Tepic to LM in 6 hours. Enjoy! | ------------------------Re: nogales to la manzanilla

Hello Dean and Judy, I think I understand but just to be sure, that sounds like MEX 15 all the way to Guadalajara. Did you take the toll road to Colima or MEX 80 to Melaque? I haven't been to Tepic in a long time and there has been much construction. Any problems getting through Tepic? Tepic to Guadalajara is short perhaps 2 hours including getting through Tepic. So then 8 hours Tepic to La Manzanilla. "2.5 days from LM in 2.5 days." I think a word got lost there. Perhaps 2.5 days form Lukeville to La Manzanilla? Sounds like a great way to go. Thanks TucsonLou. | ------------------------Re: nogales to la manzanilla

Hello Dean and Judy, OOps I lost something there. CORRECTION So then 2 hour Tepic to Guadalajara and 4 hours Guad to La Mannz = 6 hours. TucsonLou | ------------------------Re: nogales to la manzanilla

So you took the coast road through Puerto Vallarta. I recall lots of construction on Highway 200 north of PV. How was that stretch this year? I am considering the "inland route"this year. I think that means Highway 15 all the way to Guadalajara then the toll road to Colima. | ------------------------Re: nogales to la manzanilla

Drove down through Tepic, no problem. Took the new turnoff at Mazatlan. That is a great highway! There is no need to go through PV and all the delays. | ------------------------
