What are you talking about Ani? Linda's cafe is a new business. They took the recipes which Milora trained them to do and which Tia paid good money for. They quit and started their own restaurant. Not a new location. It's a new business! Same food yes, but not their recipes! Just what they were trained to do. Not exactly ethical in my opinion, but that's capitalism for you! Very sad as Tia treated them very well over the years. | ------------------------Linda's new cafe

Eggs benedict is what I always ordered over the past 14 years, so I know the recipe well! Linda was an employee and it was never Linda's cafe. It hasn't moved to a new location. It is a new business. Tia took the risk and like Milora before her, built it up. The employees were paid better than any other restaurant! | ------------------------Re: Eggs bene

Julie, La Risa is on the Jardin near the Dolphin fountain. It was owned by my daughter and Dave Collins and at that time was called "Girasol". Tia bought it from them about 9 years ago. Linda and Blanca continued to work there for all these years. It was always a seasonal business, but the rent had to be paid all year and the staff was the highest paid of any restaurant in town, so expenses were high. The reason I took issue was the bread, muffins and eggs benedict recipes were those my daughter trained Linda to do and Tia paid for. With gluten free and coconut flour so popular nowadays, Ani is most likely right. But all one has to do is google recipes, so it's no big deal! What I took issue with was the "new location of Linda's restaurant"and employee loyalty. It is a new restaurant. | ------------------------Re: Eggs bene

Norma and others unaware ! As to to the receipes used by Linda alias of Cafe Risa I was the one who lent her my books and translated onto Spanish the receipes she was using, including gluten free and coco flour. Tia offered to pay me for this and I refused as it was a benefit for all . I would think out foreign community would be into supporting three local women trying to survive indepently rather than a part time here foreigner ! | ------------------------ |
