La Manzanilla Litter

Objective: Bahia de Tenacatita is the Most Plastic-free Bay on the West Coast of the Americas An Experimental Methodology: I placed litter grabbers at the following stores in La Manzanilla. Alexandra's (Tienda de La Playa) Fanny's (Aborotes Fanny) Lydia's Mariscos Deli If you want to check out a grabber, ask for "un mano mechanico de Viki". Provide your name and email address or phone number. Please return the grabber when you are no longer willing or able to employ it on at a weekly basis. I may contact you to return it should there be a high, un-met demand for them. The grabber works best with a bucket for depositing litter. Empty the bucket whenever and wherever you can. Only one establishment ever chastised me for depositing litter in their garbage can. They have since moved on. Please don't use a grabber as a crutch, because it will break (eventually or immediately). They are not cheap, and must be brought into Mexico from the U.S. or Canada. It is important to keep the beach as plastic-free as possible. As you probably know, all roads in the area feed into the bay during rain events, so reducing plastic litter throughout the village is important too, for the health of the bay. I hope you will adopt an area of your choice for the time you are here and have available. Check out a grabber for a day or more. Email me at mercer.vicki@email.com if you would like to report your progress. I will compile an annual report on our collective efforts, from information that you are willing to email to me. Thank you kindly. | ------------------------Re: La Manzanilla Litter

Fantastic , Vicki! I have been picking up litter almost everyday during our 2 -3 month stay for 6 years now and am very pleased that I can use a grabber this season! Thankyou....Sally | ------------------------
