I think you want to go to Tlaquepaque where they are many gorgeous boutiques with beautiful stuff or the nearby town of Tonala where the street market happens twice a week. Used to be Thursday and Sunday but you should google it. Both amazing shopping experiences. | ------------------------Re: Heading to Guad

Both Telaquepaque and Tonala are really just suburbs of the great, sprawling Guadalajara. Market days in Tonala will overwhelm you with soooo much stuff. Telaquepaque is more expensive and a bit more trendy. What we usually do is either stay in Telaquepaque or Tonala and take a taxi to the other. Maybe a 15 minute ride, cheap, and so hassle free. | ------------------------
