Bridge (Chicago type)

For those who would like to play Chicago bridge, like we used to play at "the Club" before it was destroyed by Patricia, on Tuesdays and Fridays, we can play at the restaurant "Las Cabanas. I have made arrangements with the owners, we can play starting Tuesday the 15 of December. We will pay like last year 10 pesos each for the restaurant, and anyone can buy drinks or food and pay Las Cabanas directly. If anyone one wants directions to Las Cabanas it's on Maria Asuncion, the main street of La Manzanilla, on the same side as Palapa Joe's. I look forward to many bridge players. See you on Tuesday the 15 december. Depending on the choice of the bridge players, we can play either upstairs or downstairs.

I forgot to say a few things: Time: We start playing at 1:00 pm. Be there a few minutes before 1:00, when we deal cards. The 4 top cards play at the "high" table, the 4 lowest cards play at the "low" table, the 4 mid-cards play at the middle table. We play 4 rounds, then the winners stay, the losers move down. If there are 7 players (or 11) the 3 payers at the table ask for "a bidder from the 4 playing at the other table". If there are 6 (or 10) players, the 2 players at the table have "a sit out" and wait for the game ahead of them to be finished. Then then play with the losers. Regular Chicago scoring. 500 for a "fast" game, 300 for a "slow" game. Vulnerabilty: the first dealer is not vulnerable, the 2nd and 3rd dealers are vulnerable and the 4th dealer, every is vulnerable. If there is a single player left (after the cards are dealt), he/she can either wait for the games to be finished and take the place of a player, or go home. You don't need to bring a partner. Beginners are welcome, even learners. Lots of people are patient and willing to teach. Last point: Las Cabanas is a few doors down from the hotel Tonala. You can't miss it. See you Tuesday, and Friday, andTuesday, and Friday, and Tuesday and ..... | ------------------------Chicago Bridge (2nd post)

I think this will be my last message. The address of La Cabanas is: 129 Maria Asuncion, and the name of the restaurant owner is: Chuyita. See you Tuesday. MIchel | ------------------------
