You Can't Possibly Be Sleeping Daniel

Living in your remodeled office/casa with the new and improved metal roof, you can't be sleeping. So, riddle me this: is it just El Nino or is something else going on?

Well, apparently you were not sleeping, Mark. Me, I spent sleepless hours puzzling about the heavenly power of the priest. Did you notice last night that the skies opening and it poured rain at the very moment the priest set off his first mega bomb. Impressive! Now I'm not suggesting that El Nina is not the real culprit. Some quick research told me that our current El Nina is the second strongest in history, and could last through the winter. Wet and hot. These enlightened scientists are also quick to point out that there are other factors at play. Climate change and global warming may be responsible for these more powerful El Ninas. Maybe ask the priest. | ------------------------Re: You Can't Possibly Be Sleeping Daniel

While I hate to be nit picky, Larry, we are experiencing El Nino (and, yes, I can't figure out how to put the squiggle over the "n") La Nina is the opposite, cold Pacific Ocean temps produce a much different weather pattern. Notwithstanding Norma's posting, I do, in fact, entirely attribute this El Nino to the Marshall Islands. | ------------------------Re: You Can't Possibly Be Sleeping Daniel

Warmer oceans than ever before creating the perfect storm. Biggest storms recorded in Alaska. Most of the areas affected are those that didn't contribute to this: Syria, Marshall Islands, Phillipines, Africa. First world people will hunker down in their air conditioned homes and not be aware how hot it really is out there. I refuse to turn on the air conditioning in my car. Uses too much gas and only drive the car when absolutely necessary, such as taking my dog to the vet today. Thanks to the goddess for the rain last night. It feels cooler. And thanks to Justin Trudeau and Catherine McKenna, Canada's new Environment and Climate Change Minister, for leading the way at the Paris Climate Change talks. | ------------------------Re: Climate change here and now!

ññññññ Thanks Mark. I was forced to look at my keyboard and figure out how to do a "ñ". Another spanish lesson where I slipped up. I used the masculine pronoun on the feminine noun "niña". Girl or boy, this weather is just too damn hot. | ------------------------ |
