Specialty Coffee Event
Posted by Cafe Risa on January 1, 2016, 9:16 pm
Coffee Crazy? Cafe Risa is teaming up with its long-time ROASTER, La Taza Negra, to bring a short and sweet SPECIALTY COFFEE TASTING to the jardin. La Taza Negra has procured TWO Organic Direct Trade Coffees from Mexican Producers. The First is from Nayarat, and is a natural processed coffee. The Second is from Puebla, and is a semi-washed coffee. This is the second season that La Taza Negra has roasted these two coffees. The EVENT will be SUNDAY, 9am-11am at Cafe Risa on the jardin. Both coffees will be served via the Kalita Wave Individual Hand Brewed System. ??? That means that EACH cup will be hand brewed to Specialty Coffee Expectations. Each cup will be $25 pesos, try both and choose which you would like to purchase for yourself or your guests. Bring your appreciation and curiosity for Specialty Coffee, along with some patience... as this is the first time Cafe Risa will be offering this event. (bound to be some kinks)

I am proud to consider Ben and Alexa from La Taza Negra as good friends. They have been living in Mexico, raising their two youngsters for at least 5 years now. From their cool Cafe in Melaque (check out Facebook) you can always expect fine service and fresh roasted coffee. It is nice to see Cafe Risa y La taza Negra teamed up to provide La Manzanilla with coffee. Buen suerte, Rojo | ------------------------Agreed

Red, Thank You for your comments. We whole heartily agree. Ben & Alexa have been doing some amazing things in their neck of the woods and we really appreciate the time and energy they put in to La Taza Negra's offerings. When they mentioned some SPECIALTY Coffees that they were going to be roasting; we knew we wanted to do something to introduce people to these coffees. Even if it is just a little semi-impromptu event. Just a reminder, Cafe Risa is closed on Sundays ... taking place tomorrow is just a simple tasting with the opportunity to buy some of La Taza Negra's Specialty Coffees. (limited quantities)
