Actually Cathie, as it was happening, and in the aftermath, all the news stations could talk about was the 275 miles per hour that Patricia was moving at out at sea, reducing to something like 250 mph when she hit land. Just who does one beleive today? Not that it matters, but hey, we'd all still be eating margerine if butter didn't convince us that's it's better. Ha, ha.
But all confer that it definately was the largest ever recorded.
Isn't this town amazing that they can pick up and get on with their lives. And for those people that cancelled coming here this winter because they thought all would still be at a standstill, what a shame.
