I'm sure you meant these words in jest, Michel, but this was such a commonly held attitude in the past that I find it difficult to even read the words.
Any girl or woman who suffered assault or even unwanted attention was, until fairly recently, told that, in some way, it was her fault -- she dressed provocatively, she smiled too much, she was too friendly, she shouldn't have . . . .
