The first coffee festival in Cuzalapa will be happening this coming weekend--Sat. 20 and Sun. 21. There will be food, presentations, ceremonies, dancing, music, poetry and of course lots of coffee! I am offering a tour to the celebration leaving at 6:00 a.m. on Sat. and returning by around 2:30 p.m. on Sun. Tour includes: transportation, two breakfasts, one lunch, hotel, translation during the conference, and birding and natural history through the coffee plantation (binoculars and spotting scope provided). Cost is $1,900 pesos / person. You can book at the office (9:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Mon. - Sat.), by phone: (315) 351-5305 (office); (315) 104-5442 (my personal cel) or by e-mail.
I have personally been involved in helping promote and support the Cuzalapa women´s cooperative since 2000 and am excited to offer this limited tour to celebrate their work and progress.
