Great poem Judy.
Please keep in mind that we live in a low-income area. Most people cannot afford a newer vehicle, let alone properly maintain the one they might own. The cheaper alternative is a motorbike. The problem here is that the salt air rusts out the inside of mufflers.
The main street is the commercial thoughfare for the town, resulting in the addition of large delivery trucks into the mix of motorbikes and ATV's. Such is life.
Back in my hometown, there are many very expensive Harley Davidson bikes, the muffler sounds of such that they rattle windows. Difference being that they are creating their noise by choice.
Did I once hear that Valerie was an ex-biker? Maybe it was a boater.
