85-year old Doņa Chuy came to La Manzanilla more than 50 years ago. Her house was badly damaged by Hurrcane Patricia, and a new palapa roof was put on by Viva La Manzanilla.
Now, there is only black plastic to surround the outside of the house.
Josefina asked me to post this message that they are trying to raise funds to build walls around the house. They have two beautiful paintings by Efren Gonzales that will either be sold or raffled off to raise the funds.
The paintings are 4,000 pesos each, with the money going towards this project. Raffle tickets are 200 pesos each. The paintings and the tickets are at Ada's Bazzar.
