I just conducted two tests from different sites of my Telmex broadband internet download and upload speeds. The results were Download 1.6 Mbps and 1.7 Mbps and Upload 286 Kbps and 297 Kbps. Both measurements were about 80% slower than other users of Telmex Infinitum according to one of the sites. I am on the slowest (cheapest) user plan for Infinitum, the one that advertises ¡Hasta 10 Kbps! Exceso de Velocidad. I know that others have complained too, but my results seem just pitiful. How do they compare with others in La Manz on the same $389-peso-per-month service level? Does one actually get faster service if one almost doubles the monthly cost ($599 hasta 20 Mbps)? I am interested in buying the box and using Roku but they require a download speed of 5 Mbps.
Also, what kind of speed improvement, if any, might I get if I went to Ethernet cable instead of WiFi?
