Sunday Evening Film Series: " When the Devil Knocks" : an award winning docudrama, 14 years in the making, will be shown on Sunday March 6, 7:30 pm, at Casa Luz.
The severe repeated abuse of children by numerous perpetrators often results in the development of Dissociative Identity Disorder, formerly called Multiple Personality Disorder.
When the Devil Knocks is an uplifting story of Hilary Stanton’s courageous journey with her therapist, Dr. Cheryl Malmo.
Hilary and her partner Debbie lived very happily for several winters in La Manzanilla, and Cheryl (aka, the drummer’s girlfriend) has had a home here since 2002.
Cheryl Malmo will be present at the showing to answer questions. Mark your calendars!

I remember this film from several years ago. If you haven't seen it, you are in for a treat. A thorough, compassionate and hopeful depiction of dissociative identity disorder/multiple personalities.
The trust Cheryl builds with Hilary is phenomenal and inspirational.
