Phase 2: how's it going?

Since I started this spay project I am curious as to how phase 2 is going since I left on March 5? How many dogs and cats have been spayed and neutered, how much money is left, etc. The follow up care is most important as there are sometimes complications and several volunteers with nursing experience (Sally, Lauren and Jan) were needed for intra muscular antibiotic injections twice daily. The surgical incisions needed to be monitored and kept clean and directions given for the owners to keep the animals rested and in their crates overnight. I gave my phone number and drove over to check on the animals the next day. My hope is that every animal taken to be spayed and neutered is returned safely in good health to their owners. I heard that one cat escaped in Barra, so didn't come back to La Manzanilla. I hope this isn't the case. It is the reason I only dealt with Beto as he has a very good track record with La Manzanilla dogs and cats.
