from award winning waste water treatment in Arcata, California Five students and 3 supervisors have arrived in LaManzanilla on Saturday nite. Check out their web site.

Their goal is to help communities with their infrastructure by observing. recording and making suggestions for the betterment of our sewer system. Their schedule is thus:
+++Sunday: 8 January, See Crocodile Reserve and map out plans for week, divide into 3 teams
+++Monday: 9 January, make GPS readings of the distribution system, over view the "carcamo" (pump house), look over the oxidation plant in Los Ingenos. Monday nite 6 pm at Quinta Valentina conduct a meeting describing their plans for the week. The president of LaHuerta, Mgr of Tamarindo, professors from U of Guadalajara, interested people from Barra and Melaque, interested members of the town, have all been invited to attend.
+++Tuesday: 10 January, continue to observe and record their findings from all 3 teams. Tuesday night 6 pm introduce themselves to the town and enjoy a dessert party contributed by Mexican and American people together.
+++Wednesday: 11 January, continue to observe and record.
+++Thursday: 12 January, complete their findings so far and prepare for the follow-up meeting this night, 6 pm at Quinta Valentina. At this meeting sum up what they have discovered so far and what they plan to do in the future. The engineers are not just coming One time. They are here to help us over a period of years, what ever it takes to improve our system.
+++Friday, 13 January, Return to PV and on to Arcata, California.
