Shaun I ran across the thread on roof repair from two years ago and am intrigued by the Gaco product. Is it still working? Can one still get it "locally" meaning in Mexico. Thanks Neal

Neal...we can attest that it is a GREAT product as we have it on our roof here in LM. We put it on 2 weeks ago and not only is our roof sealed tight (morning dew still beaded up on the roof after 5 hours of daylight) but the temperature in our house is downright cold during the day (of course that is with our valley facing windows & doors closed because there is excavation going on next door)...just like air conditioning, which we don't have.
Pepe @ Los Cabanos has a client where he installed Gaco 2 years ago. If you have questions, you can always ask him.
And yes, we bought our product from a distributor in Manzanillo 3 weeks ago.

PS...it is not cheap but any means...$275 USD for 5-gallons, plus delivery from Monterey, MX. You need to buy the Liquid Tape as well ($75 USD per gallon), for corners and for 2" to 3"up any roof wall. Coverage is 1 gallon per 100 ft. Our house is approx 1100 and took six FULL 5-gallon buckets.
If you have any other questions for us, email thru the white envelope please.

Hello Where did you buy this product in Manzanillo?

Thru an unlisted distributor in Santiago. If you are interested, I can give you his information but I don't want him getting a lot of crank phone calls from lookie loo's. If you have any questions about the product itself, you may want to ask Pepe @ Los Cabanos as he is very knowledgeable; he told us about it, and he can install it as well.
I can tell you the product, at this point, is well worth it. Anyone with a flat roof in Mexico should use this product, even if your roof doesn't leak yet
