IS there anyone who is flying to COMOX, OR VICTORIA OR NANAIMO who would be willing to take a chihuaua on the plane to some people who are waiting there for her?? They are going to adopt her but we need to find someone to take her there. They will meet the plane wherever she goes to and take her from there. The people live in COMOX... obviously that would be easiest..but any of those places will work.
Also, if you are flying from PV we will get you there free if you are willing to take the little girl to her new home. Please consider this..all you have to do is put her under the seat in front of you and then meet her owners when you get off the plane.
Thank you so much if you are willing to help. you can call me. 351-7396 or email the little white envelope

of course we would like to know asap what your dates are (if you are willing) so we can check availability of dog space on the plane...which as everyone knows they are at a premium this year. thanks. Linda

I gave my dogs half a gravol for motion sickness and it worked great. 2vdogs can go in one carrier without extra charge. After May 1 Alaska air takes dogs as well, so perhaps someone staying till then could take her. Another idea would be to call Westjet and see if there is any room on any of their flights fromManzanillo or PV until the end of April and then ask folks who are flying on those specific dates. Sometimes people cancel, so keep trying. The flights to Comox from Manzanillo require overnight in Calgary whereas there is a quick turnaround to Victoria (and possibly Nanaimo). Direct flights to Comox and Victoria from PV. Good luck! Dogs in cqbin allowed from PV after May 1.

Speaking of chihuahuas my water man informed me that his family is looking to adopt a chihuahua. If you know of another chi that is available please let me know. Sorry for hijacking the thread.

There is a mother and 2 babies at the feed store/puppy mill store on the highway in Melaque (on the same side of the street as the Pemex heading to Barra). High priced! It would be great to buy them all and stop this, but I fear it would have the opposite effect! So sad to see them in the hot sun living in cages for months on end!

Hi Linda, My name is Kathy Gerow and I will be Visiting Marcia Grothe from March 25th to April 1st. if you haven't found anyone to take her by then, we could possibly take her back with us. We live in Seattle but my Brother-in-law is Canadian and travels there quite often. He may even be going to Naniamo very soon for fishing. We may be able to keep her until we can get her to Canada.
You can let us know once we arrive. Kathy Gerow

I absolutely love how quickly people volunteer to help out on this message board! I don't think I've ever had a request that wasn't answered immediately and I see that is so here as well. Thanks, all you lovely people.
