Gerry, your concerns over barking dogs are likely shared by others. As you acknowledge, that is the nature of life in rural Mexico. Mexican dogs live outside for the most part and that is not likely to change. However, not every neighbourhood in La Manzanilla has dogs that bark all night. Talk to other vacationers and find out where these areas are. They do exist
